The Clinton Lady Cardinals Softball team traveled to Boonville on Saturday, August 31st to compete in the Boonville Tournament. This was the opening games of their 2024 campaign. The Lady Cardinals went 1-2 in the tournament and came home with a 6th place finish for their efforts. They played 3 games for the day, losing to the host team to open their day, 5-3. Second game was against Wright City, where a tough pitching performance by Kenadie Austin helped to give the win to the Cardinals. In game three in the tourney, Sedalia Smith Cotton proved to much for the Lady Cardinals, losing 15-1, and giving a 6th place finish in the tournament. Jordan Schmedding had a great performance for the tourney, finishing with a .500 batting average, scoring a run and getting a stolen base for a great day. Both Kennison Crispi and Maddie Hess knocked in 4 RBI’s each on the day. Listed below you will find the scores and some of the stat leaders for Clinton at the Boonville Tournament.
