The Lady Cardinal Soccer team has started their season off on the right foot.
In game one of the Clinton Cup, the Lady Cardinals found the back of the net early in the match and accomplished 14 goals, mercy ruling Paeso Academy. Goals were by Seniors: Kinzlie Hager(2), Makenna Beasley, and Ava Potter. Juniors: Kylie Williamson (3), Sabrina Meloy, Leah Kenney, and Carley Fosnow (2). Freshman Alexis Fowler (2) and Natalie Golder.
Game 2 the Cardinals fought with the Lone Jack Mules in a close game. Freshman Alexis Fowler sailed her shot right through the goalie’s hand to give the Cardinals the lead in the second half. The final score ended 1-0.
The Championship game resulted in a 3-0 victory over fellow MRVC-West opponent Odessa Bulldogs. Goals of the night were by Senior Kinzlie Hager, Junior Skyte Wilson and Junior Kylie Williamson.
The Cardinals will take on the MRVC-West opponent Harrisonville Wildcats on 03/25/24 at Cardinal Stadium starting at 5 pm.
